The Reddcoin score on CoinGecko shows that it ranks ar #14. I remember it used to be in Top 10. but that was when Reddcoin price was good. What do you think? Shall we discuss about it? https://www.coingecko.com/en
notion88 Well the developer & community scores are easy to explain - a lot of current development is happening outside of public github repos, and we have been having more of our discussions here than on Reddit. Public interest I’m not so sure about, but I would bet as more features are released that number should go up.
There have been less public development at the current time. Part of the score comes from that and the other lowered score is the market price. There was a surge of speculators too that have died off. All these factors play key roles in the score. As the community continues to grow, all those scores will follow too.
Also, they changed standards (added public interest), before 20k (mostly imaginary) reddit subscriptions was one of reasons we were at top. Patience, we’ll get there with inovation and positive energy.
yap as the other said the private development and getting out of reddit is the most part of indicators.
Let’s see what is coming soon. Keeping it positive

That’s what I figured. It’s too bad there’s not a metric to capture that progress.
I guess we’ll just have to make up for it in public interest this year
GrayPhoenix Yeah, if I recall correctly the devs have said certain upcoming core features for Reddcoin won’t be open source. Honestly, as much as I love open source, I can’t say I blame them (especially with the recent BWallet/Trezor controversy). Hundreds of hours of work can be copied & re branded with a few mouse clicks (depending on the license of course). These are gonna be the core features that make RDD stand out from the crowd.
People can help the score along by liking Reddcoin’s facebook page (which also forms part of the coingecko algo).

Also don’t forget to participate on reddit - that sub is still the way most noobs find us.

Yeah i see reddit as more of a “public” disscusion. Its much easier for someone who has a reddit account to post and participate rather then signing up for a whole new forum.
Naro Someone asked me what was the motivation to abandoning reddit?
