I downloaded wallet finally after the long sync but no Reddcoin showing? Can anybody help? on best next steps to get coins in wallet. I did a shapshift transfer from ETH and have the blockchain links. thanks.
ReddCoinRetire Looks like I am getting a few views. So I download wallet I have the reciept of ShapShift.io for the transaction. I sent to a REDDCOIN receiving address from the first wallet I created. That wallet was deleted trying to dowload the wallet quicker. I had to download a new wallet and waited for the the process to finish. Again, I see my transaction with links barcode provided by ShapeShift via email.but I don’t know how to get those REDDCOINS into my new REDDCOIN wallet? I put copies of everything on hardware. THE TRANSACTION IS JUST SITTING ON THE THE BLOCKCHAIN NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET IT IN THE WALLET NOW. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
I can’t seem to enter the orginal receiving address anywhere in the REDDCOIN wallet???
The only solution to this is to recover your old wallet.dat
Maybe it is still in your trash bin.
Without this file it is impossible to recover your Reddcoin - sorry!

You now in which folder the wallet.dat belongs?
Do not open the file with notepad!
i FOUND ONE IN THE TRASH BIN MOVED IT TO A FOLDER. I HAVE 2 OR 3 OTHERS ON A USB FLASH THANKS
okay, close your reddcoin core wallet software
go to C:\Users\“your username”\AppData\Roaming\Reddcoin and rename the existing wallet.dat to something like wallet.dat.old
Then move your wallet.dat from the trash bin (or one of thm from your flash drive) to that folder.
After that try to start reddcoin core again.
TRIED BUT NOTHING HAPPENED SEE PIC OF THE WALLETS IN FOLDER. I HAVE ORIGINAL WALLETS SAVED TO A HARD DRIVE TOO.!! cant attached the snipit pic I just took:-( BASICALLY THE TRASH VERSION AND THE NEW .OLD I CREATED ARE IN A DESKTOP FOLDER I CREATED. FOR NOW
JUST DROPPED THE PICTURE CAN TAKE PIC OF MY USB STUFF FOR REDDCOIN IF NEEDED
press windows key+R then type %appdata%\Reddcoin
This should open a foler.
You have to copy the right walet.dat in that folder to get Reddcoin core to recognize it.
SENT ANOTHER ATTACHMENT OF 3 OTHER WALLETS ON MY HARD DRIVE I SAVED
I see them.
The file has to be in the right folder.
According to the naming scheme oon your PC you have to make sure it is just named “wallet” instead of “wallet.dat”
