Today lead dev Laudney proposed doing an interview for the next Reddheads newsletter. Those of you who have followed the newsletter since the beginning will remember that for issue no.1 (launched 8 October 2014) I ran some questions by Laudney regarding the then-newly-launched Reddsight blockchain explorer and APIs, and Social X .
For this upcoming newsletter we are opening up the direction of the interview to the community!
Considering the diverse chat going on in the forum, it is going to be necessary to select the ten questions most popular with the community, which Laudney will respond to and answer in the interview. The Reddcoin team will also choose a few extra questions from the pack for Laudney to answer.
Please come up with a few questions that you think are important. Consider them carefully and try to filter them to the single most important question and then post that comment as a comment here. It can then be voted on by the community.
To keep track of things correctly there should only be one question per comment ā otherwise it will not be possible to count votes per question properly. Try to limit yourself to the single most important question. If you have to post two or three questions because you really canāt make your mind up, then they have to be as separate comments!
So that everyone has a chance to read this post, to ask their question and to vote, I am postponing this weekās newsletter and we are going to leave this thread open for a week. The special edition newsletter including the full interview will be published on Wednesday 11 March.

Thank you this is extactly what was needed, Ill be brainstorming some questions
Reddcoin ltd. - as I understand āThe primary motive for setting up Reddcoin Ltd is to explore the options to hire people full-time to work on the project.ā with the current situation of development being being done in spare time and devs being busy with there full time jobs, where do we stand on reddcoin ltd? has the option to employ people full time been explored yet?
Have you considered releasing certain aspects of ReddID/POSV2/Social-X as a sort of Minimum Viable Product approach rather than a fully polished package?
In case anyone isnāt familiar with the term, itās a product strategy that believes releasing bare-minimum features of a product is more advantages than ābetting the farmā on what features people do & do not want, and then adjust the product based on feedback & validated learning. Forum wonāt let me post a link to relevant Wikipedia.
My Question: Who is currently working on what? If I remember right there are currently many tools in development. an overview of what is currently in development would be nice.
Any plans revealing your business/development team and project timeline/milestones? if so, when?
Would Reddcoin be working with Social Media websites or Browser/Tech Companies to integrate the tech?
What strengths do you think Reddcoin has over competitors so far?
In the case of Ripple vs Stellar; Reddcoin seems to be heading towards Stellarās direction; any plans to be āofficialā and include more integration like Ripple?
My favorite thing about Redd right now is the staking. Are there any changes or tweaks down the road related to staking or are you pretty happy with it right now? Thanks and I appreciate your time and work.
Telegram livefromheaven I donāt want to jump the gun here but Iām personally very excited about PoSV 2.o because I believe Iāve found a fairly elegant and simple way to distribute all interests among active stakers, e.g. if only a third of the money supply is being staked, those Reddcoins will earn 3x normal interests. More details will be presented in the newsletter next week.
laudney That sounds great! I know youāve mentioned this before, but I really like the idea of getting more RDD rewards into the hands of small-scale holders through staking & other social-x related fees.
As an initial investor still holding all of his RDD payout and more, I am wondering where the IPCO funds collected have gone and what that investment produced? How much, if any remains; and if there should be some consideration given to spending those moneys on development subcontractors to help facilitate these roadmap milestones?
Without beating around the bush, I and others helped pave the road for Reddcoinās production in $100,000+ of BTC and my understanding is that these funds were to build, market and promote the product- but what do we have currently? Iām one of the lonely few that āLikeā posts on the Facebook page, a few dozen active members on a forum and a barely visited subreddit, a coin that was sold as The Social Currency that only gets swapped back and forth between members on IRC, and remained āstableā for months on exchanges in both the best and worst meanings of the word.
I personally keep an eye on development of the coin and the exchanges- both are equally important. Iām not bitter or a bagholder. I am consistently hoping that our developerās goals are met and in turn delivering features everyone can use significantly more often than I care what RDD trades at.
lynxlee we canāt vote on your questions if they are all grouped together! Please choose the most important and list them separately (please also check to see if someone has not already asked any of the questions).
Wide adoption of Reddcoin is important. (given it is the āSocial Currencyā)
And while the tools are being worked on and improved to make it more easy for end users (wallets, etc) to hold and to use RDD.
What plans are being considered for marketing and advertising the ReddCoin Brand??
By this i mean, well considered, informative and coordinated press releases with informations that the general public can digest.
reddibrek Ah, apologies I didnāt read that instructions properly. Iāll just leave it at that. I think most people are asking the same thing anyway. Thanks!
