[Solved] Also sent coin, but nowhere to be found?!

Ok, my friend!
After starting the wallet with -zapwallettxes=1 everything works again :+1:
Thank you very much, once again!
Have a nice weekend

Nice!

Have a nice weekend.

I have followed your steps but I am lost.
I backed up my wallet.
I opened my reddcoin data folder and renamed the 2 folders old_ …
I downloaded bootstrap
I unzipped the file and moved it to the reddcoin data folder (I think)
I opened the wallet and its 6 years behind. Snd zero balance.
So I thought I should upgrade my wallet from v3 to v3.
I downloaded the new wallet from github
I opened the new wallet this is also zero balance and 6 years behind.

I don’t know what to do. Please help.
Ultimately I just want the 650000 coins I sent to Bittrex to turn up and not be lost.

It seems the bootstrapping part isn’t completed fully. If it was, you would only need to sync 20 weeks or so (instead of 6+ years).

You should definitely download and install the latest version of Reddcoin Core first. You can do that from here: https://download.reddcoin.com/bin/reddcoin-core-3.10.2/ (let me know if you need help selecting the correct file to download).

So, you renamed the 2 folders, which means you found the Reddcoin data folder. The unzipping of the bootstrap file should result in 2 folders (blocks and chainstate); these folders should be moved into the Reddcoin data folder.

So, your Reddcoin data folder should look like this:

  • old_blocks (renamed in a previous step)
  • old_chainstate (renamed in a previous step)
  • blocks (copied from bootstrap zip file)
  • chainstate (copied from bootstrap zip file)

Please try again and let me know how it goes.

You can skip bootstrapping (if you can’t get it to work), but then you would need to wait until those 6+ years get synced. Could take a or two to finish.

I have downloaded v3 wallet from the address you said. I selected win64 - setup.exe

now I have two wallets on the laptop. Can I delete the old v2 wallet?

Also, I noticed the V2 wallet says 32bit and the V3 wallet says 64bit. I may have downloaded the wrong one, will that matter ?

Yeah, you can uninstall the old version. (Make sure you have a backup - just repeating this, as a backup is very important.)

If you can install 64-bit version, use that one.
