mazril Firefox is planned!

This is awesome!

Browser integration is a huge step for Reddcoin and crypto in general. The browser is the ideal vehicle for tipping and micropayments.

And the execution is perfect. Smooth, clean, and fast as anything. Great job devs!

rehctelf 10k was a fair amount to “test” in a beta wallet??
My first seed was custom made by me and now it doesn’t work when trying to import it. I think I had made too many words… I didn’t have any limit of words so I think that is a problem to solve for future for new comers and Clown guys like me.

Tryed the automated generated seed and now my wallet can receive the new fund I send them. Although I can’t spend them because is in the unspendable wallet…

The development team is alredy working on some details for this unspendable addresses.

The first problem I don’t know if people had a similar problem.

PS:Mate one rdd is more than enough to test it.

Added extension in Chrome, sent 10k Redd to my tip jar but nothing showed up. Block explorer shows them in the account, but wallet says 0 Redd. Thoughts?

This happened to me, write down your seed and re install the extenstion.

The seed is a representation of a 128bit random number and based on a fixed list of 2048 words

Electrum does not let you use an arbitrary sequence of words as seed. This is because humans are not good at generating really random phrases.

ReddcoinRocks Thanks for the technical clarification ReddcoinRocks Something at my hear said to me change it reddhead change it! I changed it and nothing happened it genereated a wallet.

When I tryed to import the same wallet it doesn’t worked. It’s not a problem because I really was testing and this is a BETA version but for some “new and creative reddheads” this could be an issue if they are not advised with a text.

PS: This wallet is awesome!! I’m in getting worked in my head.

Oliver hehe, always good to play around with the tools. this helps to find weak spots. it might be better to make the seed textfield read only so people don’t try to change the seed!?

ReddcoinRocks Yap we could do that but at the same time I get that some people want to regenerate 10 times because they believe in buggy man. This passes some responsibility to the owner of the wallet. If I knew this has only to be based only on this 2048 words, I could try to make my 12 try-out for the 20148 options I have…

I think most of people will just go for it, but then will be guys curious like me. That want to be funny and then can screw the experience if they are dum to send a lot of coin to it.

In my case I was testing so good for me, but since our audience is non tecky we should advise people that the passphrase should not be human generated. Or an Option for advanced users, where they make theirs based on the 2048 list. just an idea since we are in Beta phase yet.

Oliver Can you clarify the issue a bit more? It should be rejecting any invalid seeds and accepting any valid ones. Perhaps I didn’t implement the check for the generated interface, only the import interface. If so, great catch. If you can’t get your coins send me the seed privately and I’ll get them to you.

This is so… rad. I have to admit that i’m genuinely impressed. With a fraction of the man-hours, RDD is simply doing much better than some multimillion start-ups.

Time to start allocating time in my agenda so i can begin working on… stuff.

tralf I made a custom pass phrase based on some of my words different alphabets and that stuff. The curious guy style. It just accept it and have generated my addresses.

Only after deleting the wallet form the computer and trying to import, that I saw the dirty bug…

I send about 0,5 rdd so it doesn’t matter. Beta versions are great for testing.

tralf great job the wallet is extremely awesome!

tralf cool, looks like it’s working for me, thanks!

One other issue I noticed - it looks like my balance doesn’t update once my ‘send’ gets broadcast. I sent some RDD back to my QT and it the balance is updated in QT, but the browser wallet still shows the old amount. Does it take some time to re-calculate? It would be nice if the browser wallet updated instantly.

EDIT: After 2 or 3 hours it looks like my balance has updated. Still would be really cool if this happened instantly though

tralf I have a minor feature request. could you add an animation to the tip icon if the user enters a page with the meta tag present? a non obtrusive animation that gets the focus of the user so people will realize that they can spend some coins to the page that they have just entered. or maybe a tooltip that is shown for a few seconds “tips accepted”.
