By the way I have the PI running with the gui of the wallet. For first setup I used SSH and now i’ve installed xrdp to just rdp to my PI Just works like a normal linux desktop, but without the need of keyboard, mouse and monitor. For regular maintenance I still use SSH.
Lowww Great! And yes, if an image is made official it will have to be mantained, no more than bi-monthly.
I think that since you got it up and running (testnet?) some tests would be nice, but if the Pi2 is slow imagine what i’m going through with a B+…
What we can do, however, is to test backwards compatibility. If you could upload an ISO of your mSD i could try to fire it up on my Pi and see if it catches fire or something along these lines.
I also have a raspberry pi b+ lying here. I can test if the image will work. I’ll try to find a 16gb sd and DD it. It will be somewhere this week that I can post results if the pi2 image is backwards compatible.
Or I’ll just install a new raspbian version for my pi b+ and just copy my reddcoin folders
Lowww having these compilation/setup instructions in a document inside the main repository would be great. I’ve also been running reddcoin (and all other wallets) on a raspberry pi since day 1. But I’m always going to compile my own wallet and I suggest others do as well, I’m paranoid like that
