It looks like that tipping platforms for social networks are showing up… this one with a powerful feature: you can directly tip in dollars. no need for the user to think about any conversion.
https://www.changetip.com/
I hope it will also become one of Reddcoin’s features.
one problem with changetip is its centralised structure
Reddcoin it working to overcome that
While I don’t know the exact plans, it would be pretty simple to allow users to tip in RDD or USD amounts to send Reddcoins. Or possible better yet, just do the conversion on the fly and have it say something like:
You are tipping xyz RDD ($5.54).
would be nice if you could tip in usd but it bought the rdd to send them therefore helping the upward price and make a nice gift
Please read this two-part article to learn a bit more about other tipping platforms alongside Reddcoin

reddibrek insightful. So Reddcoin is the first autonomous integrated p2p platform for tipping. Could it be compared with the bittorrent network and its clients, each of which is behaving as a full node of the network? If I remember well, being an autonomous integrated p2p platform is what made bittorrent strive, in contrast with Napster, Kazaa ( FastTrack), etc. which were forced to shut down. Is it possible for anyone to create Reddcoin clients other than the official ones (Laudney’s ;)?

This is exactly what we are going after and yes, the comparison with bittorrent is spot on.
