iisurge laudney should probably confirm, but I think the answer is yes, you’ll be able to access your funds from multiple devices
The problem with having the same address in 2 places is due to possibility of tracking your funds and disclosure of your identity.
If your private key is never shared you don’t compromise your funds.
So the reason is more due to online security and privacy.
I’ll give it a shot!
Oliver Not sure but I think iisurge means accessing the same wallet address(es) from multiple devices. This was a problem because the wallet.dat files would generate new change addresses independently and fall out of sync with each other. I don’t believe any such issue exists with HD wallets
Will try new wallet once it’s out and exciting to see that developments are coming along. Any updates on roadmap and Ltd? I have the feeling that dev’s are planning something big.
Nice! One wallet… Multiple devices. Without worry of change addresses causing some coin to be unavailable after a transaction.
Will the HD-QT wallet include the POSV 2.0 ???
rdyoung no. We can’t test too many things at the same time.

Understood, simple curiosity.

laudney I won’t have the time to do testing but would love to take a look at the new HD QT wallet. My System is Win 8.1 x64
So, 14 days are over update time anyone received a test version of the HD wallet and can talk about it?
artiscience
Not yet.
Patience required.
artiscience Not yet. It’s beginning of the year and I’m insanely busy at work.
I’d be happy to test it
laudney Ah, didn’t catch that you were Chinese. A happy new year to you Was just asking because you once said that you´d drop a short line when there is no new post in the Announcement section after 14 days. Looking forward to read them when things are less stressful.
